Okay - so, what are we going to sing on 19th June then ? I've an idea that there's be some Tallis, some Rutter and a bit of Purcell but, what about my usual formula of 'something old, something new something borrowed and something blue ? That usually suits to make up 1/2 hour's worth so - we still need something 'funny' and something non-classical from existing repertoire. Any suggestions?

Well, the big concert is approaching and the committee are busy behind the scenes getting venue's sorted and now we're trying to think of a name for the concert to put on the poster. Question is will we secure the cellist ...  will we locate a flautist ... will the basses ever stop whinging about having to occasionally sing a top d ?

We're planning 2011 and think it's a good idea to another whole work - as he Fauree Requiem was such a success a couple of years back. One suggestion is we complete the rest of the Haydn Missa Brevis from which we sang the final Gloria at a festival recently. Another suggestion is the Rossini Petit Messe Solennelle. Has anyone got another suggestion ?
